Trying to ID a movie about a spa/prison for evolutionary enhancement

I watched this movie, which came out, probably in the past 10-12 years. It was about a young woman that is admitted to a spa/retreat/prison by her wealthy parents, so she can be genetically...improved. She falls in love with a young man, also a patient. Things take a dark turn.

The spa is isolated, island jungle, maybe? Feels a bit culty.

This is not a superhero thing. Beautiful cinematography, claustrophobic, stylish. I have vague memories of the enhancements creating glowing lines in the skin? Had Bjork video vibes.

I didn't recognize the director or any of the cast.

Any help is appreciated!

Is it Lucy with Scarlett Johansson?

Response by poster: Thanks Carillon. It's not Lucy. It's a very talky movie, punctuated with occasional violence.

Response by poster: I should also call out that this is an obscure film. I hadn't heard of it before I watched it, and have never seen it referenced since.

How about Ex Machina - not quite on your plot points but isolated, beautiful cinematography, stylish yes.

Admittedly I've only half-watched this over someone's shoulder on a train, but... Spiderhead ticks most of your boxes?

Paradise Hills? Deeply strange movie that is probably only good in the very specific context of loopy overtired teens at a sleepover during which someone is getting over a shitty ex.

Maybe A Cure for Wellness? It came out in 2016.

Response by poster: Thanks all! I'm definitely going to check out Spiderhead and A Cure for Wellness.

I finally found it at about 2am. It's Perfect by Eddie Alcazar. His first feature film, I believe.

Paradise Hills is a pretty good match tonally, so if you liked that, this one might be worth a watch. It is weirder and darker, though. Like a cross between Paradise Hills and Beyond the Black Rainbow by Panos Cosmatos.
