Current Options for SIM Card in France, Samsung Galaxy S10e Unlocked

Hello, I am traveling to Paris from the US with an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S10e (SM-G970UZKAXAA). My carrier is Ting Wireless, which I don't think is relevant for this question, but just in case. I'm looking for a prepaid SIM card that will provide unlimited texting and data for Internet use. I'm a little mystified by what I'm finding online and would love your knowledgable recommendations. Thank you kindly.

Response by poster: Actually, I don't need unlimited data. 2G for the 15 day trip would suffice. I would like to be able to use it anywhere in Paris for texting, calling, and surfing the web using data.

Best answer: Could you make do with 14 days? Across France I recently used the 20G Orange "Holiday Europe" SIM which is €40 and works for 14 days. You can recharge it if you really need that 15th day (and if it's a travel day, you might), but I don't know what the recharge rates are. There's also an 8G version for €20. You can either buy it on arrival (aeroport, gare) or order in advance.

Best answer: I also just used the 14 day Orange one, as did all my travel companions. We had a mix of their physical and eSIMs.

E-sims are the way I would go. Companies like Airalo look like they could give you a 1 month deal with 10Gb for about $23, about $36 for 20.

The only reason I haven't jumped on the eSIM bandwagon is because of my experience described in my follow-up to my own similar question. Your carrier's policies and rules are the wild card in this situation, so if you're thinking of using an eSIM it might be worth asking Ting customer service if using an eSIM affects anything about your current functionally.
