Game camera recommendations, please.

We've lived in the forest for many years, and we've seen a lot of wildlife pass through. However, imagine what we are missing when we aren't looking! We'd like to purchase a game camera (or two) to put in the most likely corridor through our property. I'm hoping this community can help us choose the right one.

Ideally, it would be completely stand-alone, meaning no need of apps or internet connection, using a memory card instead (unless you can convince me that we really need internet connectivity, since our router probably does have the reach; we just don't want to deal with cloud-based nonsense). The most important features for us would be high-quality images and decent nighttime capability. That's all, really. What should we buy? Thanks!

We have a Browning, model # BTC-6FHD. It has all the features you're looking for. We use a camera tripod but I think it can also be lashed to a tree.

I just noticed that we also have a Bushnell 119936C.

I have limited experience with the Vikeri 4K 32MP trail camera. It worked well for me, but I haven't used it very much yet.

How's your budget? Reconyx trailcams work very well; they pick up a lot of activity and give high quality images.

I don't think the exact model I have (GardePro A3 Trail Camera) is available but back in 2021 I ordered one off Amazon and put it on my downstairs porch, pointed at the stairs at the end of the boardwalk that provides access to my home. It has worked well. I would think whatever their latest offering is would work at least as well and it was not expensive - maybe $55 or so, although I bought it when it was on sale.

I took down the nighttime clips I had, but can send you a sample if you want. Here's a short video made from clips taken in daylight. (The video has sound removed but the camera does capture sound as well.)

Operates on 8 AA batteries and stores to an SD card. Comes with a strap, has a socket on the bottom to fit a tripod mount (not included.) Reasonably withstands weather in a place with 150+ inches of rain per year, though under some circumstances condensation will form over the lens - I'm not sure there's any way to prevent that in this climate.
