I read Liar's Poker and enjoyed it from an anthropology standpoint, but it's describing events in the 80s. So I'd love more recent stuff. I'm curious about people at all stages of their careers at all kinds of institutions.
Already in the bag: Money Stuff, Industry, Bulge Bracket, Billions

Stretching the definition of "day-to-day" because it takes place over a 24-hour period but Margin Call is an excellent film about the lead up to the 2008 financial crisis.

If you liked Liar's Poker, Michael Lewis has a whole bunch of other stuff out there that's pretty uniformly good. Longform journalism in addition to books.
On a less serious note, the Harold character in the Harold and Kumar films was an investment banker.
