Another what was this

This movie is probably very obvious, it is fairly recent and was on one of the streaming apps.
There were intertwined stories, I think about at least two couples? In any case I think there was more than one simultaneous storyline.
The storyline I remember was about a couple that had a very physical, intense relationship. The woman was played by someone who looks like Aubrey Plaza. If it was actually Aubrey Plaza I don't recognize it in her film history online.
In this storyline, the man in the relationship was a teacher. He has a beard and a tired look. They argue a lot and break up.
Then she goes out for a while with a kind of hipster guy who falls for her but she doesn't really like him. The teacher guy goes out for a while with a woman who at first he thinks seems more fitting. After a while the teacher realizes he misses the Aubrey Plaza lookalike and though she's hurt and doesn't at first want to risk it, they reconnect with a feeling of destiny and deep love.
There's a scene where she's playing baseball or soccer with a team. She wears athletic clothes a lot.
There's some kind of issue with alcohol or drug addiction.
It was a small, kind of moody film.
That's all I've got.

The Five-Year Engagement?
Emily Blunt, not Aubrey Plaza?

Sounds kind of like The Worst Person in the World but I feel like you would have mentioned if it were in Norwegian…

This sounds a lot like Scenes from a Marriage, recent HBO limited series with Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain.

Response by poster: The Worst Person in the World had a similar feel and the rest of these are good guesses too but none are the one I'm remembering. It's not a rom com, despite the plot line sounding like one.

Makes my think of Love Life, season 1 on HBO, but that was was a rom com.

I don't know what movie you're looking for, but here are some contenders for not-Aubrey in case you were watching something with one of them:
Lizzy Caplan
Olivia Munn
Ana de Armas

Yeah, I did a sweep through the IMDb of Rosa Salazar just in case that’s who lesser whistling duck was thinking of but didn’t see anything that fits.

Omg, I know this one! As in, recognised the description immediately but can’t think of the name either. There was a scene towards the end (ish) where they had a big family-style party with buffet food etc in their house? And the whole vibe of their house was kind of vinyl records, wooden floorboards, porches with plants kinda thing?
I totally know this film and hope someone names it for you!
