Barcelona Take Out

I am working in Barcelona in the second week of May. I'm doing field work in the mornings, and then have the afternoons and evenings to myself, which of course I am really looking forward to.
I'm looking for good take away food options.
It'll be the first time I've been away on my own since I stopped drinking a few years ago, previously I would spend the evenings in a bar or restaurant happily having beers and good food.
I don't want to do that now, so my ideal is to get a take away and somewhere safe and pleasant outdoors to sit and eat it on my own (I also have severe misophonia - I'm not going to accept any offers of meals at home from colleagues who live in the area).
I'm staying in the Gothic Quarter (because it's handy for work) and I think the pensio I am staying in has a basic shared kitchen (hob, microwave). Are there cheap and tasty food markets I can visit? Is there a Barcelona street food style I can find?

Depending on where you are in the Gothic Quarter, La Boqueria on the west side (which is very busy and caters mostly to tourists) might be your closest market, but there's also the Santa Caterina east of the quarter, and if you're towards the ocean, the Barceloneta market. It's only about a 15 minute walk from La Boqueria to Santa Caterina or Barceloneta market.

We enjoyed picking up bocadillos and cones of cheese and Iberico ham from Enrique Tomas, which is a chain you'll find all around Spain. Though it's not precisely street food, you could probably take some tapas to go fairly cheaply.

Markets are generally open in the morning, and the eating places there are more targeted for lunch, and aside from the too-busy Boqueria you won't have one close in the gothic quarter.
