Letter to the Editor.

I'm looking for a Chicago newspaper story on Lincoln's Gettysburg address in either 1946 or 1947.
the newspaper is most likely the Chicago daily Tribune. I have a letter to the editor addressed to the Tribune in Chicago, July 26th 1947 it's in reference to correcting two pieces of information on an article more likely an opinion page on Lincoln's Gettysburg address most likely published in the Chicago paper in 1946 most likely 1947.

I just checked ProQuest, and there's nothing in the Tribune published on July 26, 1947 containing the term "Gettysburg Address." Any idea what other paper it might be?

The other papers at the time were the Chicago Sun and the Chicago Times (later the Sun-Times), might check one of those.

A few potentials all in the Chicago Tribune:
On 10 June 1947 the Chicago Tribune printed a special issue (or two?) celebrating its 100th year, with a bunch of articles about the history of the paper and its connection to national events. It contained a large article on p. 1 and p. 4 called "Lincoln and the Tribune: A Great American and a Great Paper Join to Mold U.S. History ", which includes a couple of paragraphs about how the Tribune ran the full text of the address. It also had separate bits about how the Tribune had many correspondents covering the war and had someone at Gettysburg.
On 27 July 1947 (and therefore, possibly in an earlier edition the day before that isn't listed in the place I'm looking), the Tribune published a "The Untold Story" column by Roscoe Simmons that was about Robert E Lee with a few mentions of Gettysburg (but not the address).
Earlier - on 12 Feb 1947 there's a big page of Lincoln coverage in the Tribune, including that they have just carved the text of the Gettysburg Address into the stone of the Tribune building.
12 Nov 1946 - for the anniversary of the address, a short piece with a few facts about the Gettysburg battlefield memorial (how many are buried there, which statues and memorials are there today, that sort of thing) and a poem Dedication Day by Thomas Curtis Clark - (Congress had apparently just declared 19 Nov 1946 to be Dedication Day to mark the anniversary)

(If you say more about what information the letter was trying to correct, or anything else it says was in the article, I could see if it brings up more matches or narrows it down.)
