Can you tell me anything about this image?

I came across this image while idly browsing Pinterest. I love it and want to know more about it -- is it a painting or a stylized photograph? Of what/where? By whom? Could I find a print of it somewhere? Google and Tineye searches have turned up a whole lot of nothing.

Tineye reverse image search showed a tumblr post with a link to this Reddit thread. It seems like a sharper, higher quality version of the image. It’s definitely a photo. The stylization you’re seeing in your image are likely compression artifacts.

I’m not sure if you could get a print, any links in that Reddit thread seem to be broken or wonky in some way. But there’s lots of lovely art of persimmon trees. It’s a common subject in a lot of Chinese landscapes, and southern American ones too.

I think the stylized aspects are mostly just sharpening and turning up the saturation, although I also note that the writing on the door looks too focused compared to the rest of the blurred building, so that part must have been "shopped" a bit.

'VCG' of vgc-liweilin is Visual China Group, a stock image supplier that owns 500px.

The photographer's name is Li Weilin 李伟林 (Li family name, Weilin personal name). Here are some more pictures of the persimmons in the village.
