Where can I download high resolution videos of commercials?

I'd like to get some high-end good quality commercial videos (e.g. car commercials) for a personal project. It doesn't have to be 4k but at least 720p/1080p would be nice. There used to be a subscription site - I thought it was something related to Adweek or AdAge but I'm not seeing anything searching now. Are my only options a screen recording, or maybe a wonky YouTube downloader? I've never had luck with one of those..

Best answer: In terms of getting stuff downloaded easily from YouTube I've never had a problem with 4K Video Downloader. I've used it for a few years.

If you know your way around the command line, you can download youtube videos with yt-dlp, which in my experience is the most reliable way to do that and doesn't require installing sketchy software.

Seconding yt-dlp. But if you insist on going GUI, and the stuff you want is on YouTube, the Video DownloadHelper browser extension, along with the companion app it uses to let the extension do transcoding and local filesystem operations, also work well.

Response by poster: 4K Video Downloader actually works! I have to actually find a video first - I was kind of hoping for just a site with endless commercials to download all organized etc, but there's enough stuff on YouTube for my purposes.. thanks!
