The Cartoon That is Not Samurai Pizza Cats

I remember a cartoon from the 90s. I remember the cats living in Big Ben-like clock tower and coming out in a jet/spaceship/mech to . . . fight crime and eat pizza? I thought it was Samurai Pizza Cats. But looking it up just now, that isn't it at all. The animation style is all wrong. The one I'm thinking of had an animation style much more like Street Sharks or Mummies Alive. It's also not SWAT Kats.

I might be mixing elements from other shows in there accidentally - like maybe it wasn't pizza they were really into, but some other 'cool' food? It's possible it was late 80s I guess, though I would have seen it in the mid to late 90s.

Best answer: The Samurai Pizza Cats are literally fired out of a clock tower, so I'd say you're accurately remembering that. I wonder what else you were remembering that isn't this.

Response by poster: A few of us had a similar memory, but it's very possible that we mashed some stuff together to create a false one. Honestly I think you all are right, it sounds a lot like SWAT Kats but with a Biker Mice art style - and also the clock tower from Samurai Pizza cats. Sorry everyone!

I found that I'd mashed together in my memory episodes of shows that were shown sequentially.

Any chance you were all in the same area, with the same TV programming schedule? And have similar hazy-childhood 'I've mashed together the cat shows that got shown at the same time'?

Or in my case, the retro b&w shows that aired one after another, Addams Family, Get Smart, Bewitched, something else, and I got bits mixed up together in my memory, understandably! 😅
