How to apply filter to RSS feed and send items as email?

I suspect there may be no way to do what I want, but I thought I'd ask anyways. If I have an RSS feed, is there a way to apply a filter to remove items that don't match some parameter and then send each new item as an email?

For example, I have an RSS feed of Reddit posts to a certain subreddit. If I want to look at posts where the title include "Canada" and then have those posts emailed to me - is there any way I can do something like that? I've seen a few RSS to email web tools, but nothing where I could apply a filter, too.

Best answer: Not a direct answer, but could you use the RSS to email web tools you've found, and then apply filtering on the emails they send? For example, a filter involving a combo of the "from" and "doesn't include" options in Gmail would probably create the filter you want.

Response by poster: Well, it almost sounds too obvious now. :) Yes, that should probably work. Thank you!

You can do this with ifttt

Caveat about ifttt is that I have had things stop working with no warning and support is spotty with answers. This was true before and after they implemeted the payment options. There are other products like Zapier and Microsoft Flow that can also do this.
