Help me find something like this salsa

I found out this past week that Trader Joe's has discontinued my favorite salsa, the Organic Tomatillo and Roasted Yellow Chili salsa. I didn't even have any reserve bottles in my cabinet, so I'm absolutely bereft.

It's a perfect everyday salsa for those of us who don't always want to burn our intestines. It's mild and has a great not-watery consistency.

Please help me find something similar!

And of course if you'd like to tell Trader Joe's that you too would like to see this product come back, feel free to step on over here.

Not sure about the TJ one, but the Private Selection Medium Tomatillo & Chipotle Pepper Salsa is my current favorite salsa and it has the tomatillos in it, which makes me think the flavor profile might be similar. I like it because it has an umami kick to it, not sweet, not watery.

Response by poster: Just wanted to update this post that I am in Seattle visiting family and we found this salsa at the local Fred Meyer. It’s fine but has the smoky chipotle notes. It’s not really what I was looking for, but it is tasty!

Any update on this? It was my favorite, too...a staple of my pantry. I believe most TJ products are manufactured by other companies and TJ's puts their brand on it (compare Amy's Organic soups and chilis with those of TJs for example), so if we can find out where it is made, we can go straight to the source.

TJ's sometimes will discontinue a product for a while if the quality dips or the price spikes, and then bring it back later when it's advantageous to do so. Let's hope this returns to the Trader Joe's shelves soon!
