Need help with Sigma Plot?

Having problems transitioning between versions of Sigma Plot?
Please pardon the length. My husband needs help with Sigma Plot:
I have been using Sigmaplot2 for 2 decades in my atmospheric science research. But it does not work on Windows10. Thus I have to use it on a virtual machine the provides Windows XP. This has a number of drawbacks and tech support keeps prodding me to get a version that works in Windows 10 so they do not have to continue to support a virtual machine.
Also some of the programs in Sigma2 take up to an hour to run and I would hope that this would not be the case in newer versions. So a few days ago I obtained a 30-day trial version of Sigmaplot15--- the newest version and the only one they now sell. My main use of Sigma is to produce figures that are then presented in PowerPoint. After a few days of frustrating work I was able to reproduce one of my figures in Sigma15 and put it into PowerPoint. However, I seem to run into a limitation. I am unable to make any further minor changes such as adding labels to axes or changing the number of tick marks. They will show up in Sigma but not in PowerPoint. And when I close the file and open it again and click on PowerPoint to go into Sigma those changes have disappeared.
Nothing approaching this has ever happened in Sigmaplot2 where I have worked with much larger files than the one I put into Sigmaplot15. I had email and voice communication with Sigma tech support helping me with this task. He was not even supposed to do this: At first he did not realize I was on a temporary trial version. He did proceed for a few days anyway. But now he has said no more help until I purchase Sigma15. I am reluctant to purchase something that does not even do what Sigmaplot2 does. But there is the possibility that the temporary version makes these limitations. However, tech support has not told me this. I would think they would but on the other hand I might not believe it if they maintained that.
Perhaps someone else has experience with Sigmaplot?
