Use for wall outlet that isn’t a tv

We moved into a new rental. There are a couple of wall outlets at head height meant for plugging in a wall mounted tv to. We already have one television, don’t need others. Any other interesting uses for these plugs besides just hanging a picture over them?

If any of them are above flat surfaces, they'd be very handy for device chargers with short cords.

Sounds like someone needs a custom neon sign or a smart mirror

My vote is for shelf and charging or decorative lamp.

Might be time for an indoor wall fountain?

Fairy lights always look better without a big extension cord running to the floor.

Wall sconce may be a helpful search term.

Possibly intended for a sound bar, or atmospheric lighting from behind the panel. You could use it to power a streaming device if you're not happy with the apps built into the TV or want something more customizable.

Digital picture frame (or device acting as such)?

Sun lamps above potted plants on a shelf.

Yeah, a smart mirror like a Magic Mirror would be awesome -- or even an old tablet just pointed at a custom home page (to show, for example, local weather, train arrival times, the family calendar, or similar).

My first thought was a vintage oil 'rain' lamp.

It's a sculpture, usually a person on some greenery (bathing nymphs are popular) surrounded by thick monofilament strands that lamp oil runs down in droplets to look like rain.

My friends have one they put a red light in and hung amongst some large potted monstera plants. It's very striking and not at all kitch. You can also swap out the statue for any art object, strange item, or diorama scene you care to create. They really are fun and unusual pieces.

besides just hanging a picture over them?

I see your framed picture and raise you a very classy gallery/picture light.
