What tactics does Julia Child use on Paul in HBO's Julia Episode 1?

In HBO's Julia episode 1, Julia and her book editor Judith conspire to get Paul onboard with the idea of Julia creating her new TV show. Can someone help me understand what all is happening here? I'm trying to put a name on what tactic(s) they are employing and where else this may have been used, in fiction or non-fiction.

At 39:39, the scene in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bj4PZak-GFk&t=2379s

I feel there are some of these in this scene:

Good cop/bad cop
False flag
Appeal to vanity
Making the other party think it's there idea (This is what Julia says they have done.)

Thanks for any insight! No theory is too crazy!

- Recognizing and speaking to the deep need for meaning in life (Paul obviously finds meaning in making the world a better place through increasing human understanding). This principle is huge in behavioral economics.

- Reverse psychology.
