Can I sit on my couch and fax a document (from and to Toronto)

I need to fax a document. It seems like someone should have set up a service where you email or upload the document and a computer faxes. I feel like this used to exist way back in the 1990s, though it was complicated back then. Surely it exists and is simple now. Would pay a reasonable fee. In this day and age it's crazy if I have to walk to the UPS store and stand in their covid line in the cold. (I mean obviously in this day and age they need a covid line in the cold, but I'd rather stay home).

Send2Fax is what my company uses. Looks like they have a 1 month free trial and $11.99/month after that. I don't send many faxes, but the web interface is ok, and I receive fax to email. We don't get a lot of spam though it, but apparently, spammers do still use fax.

There are a lot of services that do this! I used eFax and RingCentral in the past and they both worked fine, but I'm not up to date on the current options so there's probably something cheaper for a one-off use. Looks like there might be some decent free options here.

I used eFax for a short time around 15 years ago and they gave me such a runaround when I tried to end my subscription that I had to go to my credit card provider to stop the ongoing charges.

I have used HelloFax and had no problems or issues. I briefly had a paid plan, but have also sent one-offs by paying per fax.

I use FaxZero for this on the random occasions I need to send a fax. It's free (with their branding, limited page count) to send within the US and Canada.

I use an app called TinyFax.

I use VOIP.ms for all my efax needs and while it's a bit more complicated to setup it has the advantage of being way cheaper than most at $1.99/month plus $0.029/minute for sending and receiving (2.9 cents/minute).

Here's a HelloFax referrer link that will give you 5 free fax pages.

Seconding FaxZero. I use their (very reasonably priced) paid service to send important documents and have never had anything go missing.
