IP scanning program

I am looking for a good IP scanning program. I have been using Superscan, and Angry IP scanner. But both are lacking in some ways.

What I would like, is to have the speed and awesomeness of Angry IP Scanner, and the history feather that Super Scanner has (where it remembers some information about previous scans.)
So for all the IT guys and hackers out there, whats your favorite IP scanner and why?

The IP ranges I control are a frigging mess.

Nmap, sucka! That's the gold standard. There's a windows port or you can run it under cygwin.

Sorry... I should add that NMAP's flexibility is it's greatest strength. SinceNMAP is a command line and outputs stuff in a variety of easily digestable formats, you can build whatever interface you want on top of it in terms of shell scripting or gui or whatever. If you're looking to dig deeper into the arcane realms of system administration, scripting NMAP is a great way to learn some skillz.

Another vote for nmap, and if you don't care for the command-line there are several front-ends available.
