Cauliflower shawarma, instead of roasting in the oven, give it 8-10 minutes on 350F in the air fryer.

Get a little pizza pan or silicone cake pan that fits your air fryer, spray with oil. Scramble two eggs with seasoning and a splash of water and pour into the pan, followed by a sprinkle of shredded cheese (other ingredients can go here). Float a tortilla on top of that, spritz with oil, and fry the whole thing at 350ish (your oven will have its own quirks, you may have to experiment) starting with ~8 minutes to see how cooked it gets. It could take up to 12 or so.

I roast all vegetables in the air fryer instead of the oven.

Roasted chickpeas! I do 390 degrees for about 12-3 minutes. Things that have been especially good:
-toasted sesame oil + salt
-a more neutral oil + jerk seasoning powder

I've seen various recommendations but I put the salt and seasoning on before roasting rather than after.

Next time you go to a restaurant and get French fries with your meal, bring any extras home. The air fryer can restore them to like-new in minutes. It’s almost magical.

I love bone-in skin-on chicken thighs in the air fryer. The skin reliably gets very crispy. Here is the method I use for making BBQ air fryer chicken thighs:

-Set your air fryer for 360 degrees at 30 minutes. Preheat it if your instructions recommend that.

-Pat your chicken thighs dry with a paper towel, trim off excess skin, and rub them with a BBQ spice blend (or just salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika). I like using Stubb's Sticky Sweet barbecue sauce for this, but others would probably work.

-Put chicken thighs, skin side down, in the preheated air fryer.

-After 10 minutes, flip them over so the skin side is up.

-After 10 more minutes, brush BBQ sauce on top of them.

-After 5 minutes, brush some more BBQ sauce on top of them.

-After 5 more minutes, your chicken thighs should be done, and then you can let them cool off a little bit and then eat them.

If you want to make this without the BBQ sauce, I would recommend cooking the skin side down for 15 minutes and then flipping over and cooking skin side up for 15 minutes, or until skin is crispy.

A vlogger I watch often bakes just a few cookies, a small cake, or one portion of frozen appetizers. She has made me want an air fryer.

An air fryer is a snappy name for a small convection oven, if that helps you think of more ideas.

We cook all the usual proteins in the air fryer - chicken, salmon, meats, hot dogs, burgers, etc. I usually keep a little notebook tracking the different times since there's a learning curve.

Two fun items you should try: Using canned biscuit dough to make amazing donuts and surprisingly decent two-ingredients bagels.

I love making steak in mine. As a matter of fact, this is what I will be making for dinner tonight. Let steak return to room temp. Massage it with salt and pepper and a bit of oil. Preheat air fryer, set to grill mode if you have it, but this also works for air fryer mode as well. 200C / 400f for six minutes. Measure internal temp for doneness with a meat thermometer. Flip steak and return to air fryer until desired doneness is achieved.

And then - important - let the steak rest for at least five minutes. Cut against grain, consume, feel at peace with the world.

I will never make steak any other way again.
