Help me locate a website of photos of "found" typography!

Hello, Hive Mind - way back in the way-back of hand-coding HTML, I ran across a weblog that was a collection of photographs of hand-lettered signs, mostly from Eastern Europe, if I remember correctly. It was gorgeous, and human, and inspiring. Perhaps one of you fellow typography-nerds have it bookmarked somewhere?? I would also gladly welcome any other website that collects images of hand-lettered signs - the older, the better.

Best answer: This is not from eastern Europe but from France. But it's one of my all time favourite old school weblogs. Containing so many loving pictures of hand lettered signs.

Response by poster: MonkeyToes - just an FYI, some of those links in the Previously now lead to malicious sites. Proceed with caution.

You may be thinking of the late, lamented TypArchive, or someone in their blogroll.

For crowdsourced stuff, there are some Flickr pools like The Center for Vernacular Typography.
