What was this bee cartoon?

My brother is looking for a short cartoon/animation of a bumblebee that would've aired on cable, somewhere in the late 80s/early-mid 90s. It featured a bumblebee flying around while humming very cheerfully (no dialogue). It was simple in style, limited colors: black and white and maybe yellow? Does this ring any bells for people?

He thinks it probably aired on Nickelodeon (but it could've been something else he would've seen on broadcast/cable tv in the US) when he was little (so mid 80s to mid 90s at the outside). He thought maybe it was a segment on the Nickelodeon show Pinwheel. He also thought it might've been non-American animation they were showing.

We've both Googled extensively and not found anything like it. Anyone know what this might be, or better yet, have a link to watch it? Help!!

Are you thinking of Maya the Bee? It was on Nickelodeon in the early 90’s.

Response by poster: Definitely not Maya the Bee.

What about French cartoon "Joe et les abeilles" (Joey and the bees) by Jean Image. It features a boy who is shrunk down and meets the queen bee and her kingdom of bees and insects, and they go around singing songs that end in Bzz Bzz Bzz. As a bonus, it features awful racist caricatures (the evil wasps are pirates with crooked noses and big lips, etc). See this link

On preview, that excerpt was quite disturbing! Here is a much nicer episode, which also features the opening theme, which perhaps will jog a memory?

Assuming you've seen this 90s ident, but tossing it in just in case.

Digging more deeply, you may want to have him skim this 1988 Pinwheel episode, which has several bee-related segments in the first half.

Response by poster: None of those, but thank you all for trying! Rhaomi's were the closest - it was definitely something that was just a short/segment, not a full show (just not any of those).
