Browser tab note pad app

Firefox / Win10 is there a browser add-on or code that lets me just type notes on a blank screen tab ?

(I know, I know, other than make a page with a big input box, there's got to be a spiffier way.)

Is there a reason it has to be in the browser? I use Microsoft's Stick Notes app for that, or a Window with Notepad/Wordpad open

Best answer: You might like this: One-line browser notepad bookmark

The official Firefox Notes addon is a notepad that sits in a sidebar, so you can keep notes while still browsing. Not quite what you asked for, but might be useful?

Pastebin? You can host a private one

Or if you have O365 you can use OneNote in a browser tab or in the desktop app and everything gets synced

I use the same as Rhaomi above. It's extremely useful.

I've been using Obsidian (https://obsidian.md/) which might be overkill for your purposes. It's a cross platform note taking tool. That supports markdown.

I find it easier to use than the comparable tools, for text notes and random thoughts.

That said it doesn't do the best job with images.
