Stylus for Pixel 5 for Drawing Kanji

I'd like a stylus for my Pixel 5, so that I can draw kanji in a lookup dictionary app. I know nothing about styluses, what to look for for this purpose, what an expected price would be, whether I could get one which doesn't require charging, or if I need one (like this) which says it's specifically for my Pixel 5. Can anyone advise on this please?

Best answer: Unless your phone specifically supports some stylus tech or other (I don’t think the Pixel 5 does), all any stylus is going to do is provide a pen-shaped object with a tip that mimics the capacitive characteristics of your fingertip. Any old capacitive stylus should work. The active one you linked may have some kind of fancy tech, but my instinct says it’s just a gimmick.

Best answer: No Pixel phone support special stylus (similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note series, which uses Wacom digitizers and thus have Wacom stylii) So any capacitive stylus will work fine on your phone.

That AccuPoint Active is available on Boxwave's website for the same price and does not mention Pixel 5 in any way, shape, or form. So the Amazon listing is just fancy ad copy claiming an association when it's not associated.

With that said, an active stylus does allow you to use the stylus in a more natural angle, instead of the "straight down" calligraphic angle that most stylus need for optimum contact, but the problem is you need to charge it or feed it batteries.

I would personally suggest you get a premium passive one... One that has two tips: a regular metal tip for one end, and a see-through fine tip for the other, and try both tips. The one I linked comes with TWO sylii, both two tips, and multiple replacement tips for both sides. They're even available in multiple colors, and should be quite sufficient for your needs.
