Why are podcasts taking up so much data on my iphone 4s?

Trying to clear storage space on my iphone 4s. Podcasts are taking up huge space. I deleted all of them and even deleted the subscriptions, it still says that "Documents & Data" is using 666 MB. Is this fixable or is the Antichrist in my phone?

Hmm, interesting. On my phone in the Podcasts section I have 6.48GB of "Documents and Data," but only 4.68GB of "All Episodes." What are the other 2GB? I have no idea!

One thing you could try is deleting the Podcasts app and reinstalling it?

Try backing up your iphone and then reinstalling from the backup.

Hats off to you still rocking the 4s.

Some of that crud is from installing successive versions of IOS and different applications on your phone, which get updated as well.

Backup your device, make sure to also download all photos videos from the camera as well (or they will get lost - happened to me), and then reinstall.

Delete the Podcasts app, reboot the phone and then reinstall it.

If it pukes on you, then call the priests.
