Brightly Coloured Basics

I want to buy simple, brightly coloured clothes and my usual shopping venues are not serving me well. Help? Specifics inside.

My wardrobe currently is dominated by navy blue, black and dark grey and has been for years. I have started to feel a yearning to bring bright sunshiney joyful energy into the world via my clothing. I'm looking for cotton basics- boxy T-shirts, long-sleeved t-shirts, trousers in bright plain colours (not patterned, not covered in branding).

My go-to place to purchase clothes new is usually Uniqlo but their colour palette tends towards the dusty, faded hues that seem to be currently on trend (rose pink, dusty blues, beiges, khakis, burnt orange) and the somber navies and greys I usually wear. I want VIBRANT.

I will be scouring the charity shops but also would like to purchase some new clothes.

Any ideas? UK based preferably, or at least ships to UK. I usually buy XS-S in menswear but unisex is ok and women's can sometimes work.

Thanks!

I'm not sure how it's looked at in the UK, but have you tried Boden?

Response by poster: My go to trousers are Uniqlo men's "Easy Relaxed Fit" trousers which have elastic + drawstring waist but are not joggers or lounge. Something like that in the Paul Smith orange instead of khaki, navy or grey would be the dream.

If you want plain colorful t-shirts: try a craft store.

Maybe kettlewell? It's designed so people can shop for their "color season" so everything comes in tons of colors

Response by poster: I just found Colourful Standard and I am about to spend a lot of money.

+ Big Bud for trousers and I think I might be sorted. Thanks gang!

Response by poster: Big Bud no longer ships internationally except Canada, for those reading in posterity :(

COS usually has some interesting bright colors for menswear.

Another search phrase (along the lines of craft stores) is “t shirt blanks uk.”

eShakti - be patient when browsing as they don't list multiple colors in an efficient way, but there are a lot of options.
