Collaborative Playstation 4 games

I'm looking for PS4 games to play with two or three controllers for a family that likes Wytchwood, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Spiritfarer, and Don't Starve Together.
I have just finished playing “It Takes Two” with my (9 year old) son and think it’s one of the best games I have ever played. It’s beautiful, well-thought-out, and just filled with fun. I was seriously blown away.
Caveat: It is probably not for younger or particularly sensitive kids. The central plot point is that the main characters are parents who are divorcing. They are also shockingly self-centered and neglectful parents. There is one particular scene near the middle of the game where they show zero regard for their daughter’s feelings if it means they are able to accomplish their goals. It’s a pretty rough scene and I was glad to be there to talk about it with my son as it happened.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime (1-4 players) feels like the best recommendation I have from games I’ve played.
Pixeljunk Monsters 2 is a fun, wholesome tower defense game for 1-2.
If there’s a high enough tolerance for Nintendo-hard platformers, then Cuphead is just marvelous for 2, although pretty different gameplay-wise than your examples.
Those suggestions are all cooperative games. If branching out to some friendly competition is okay, then Videoball and Sportsfriends are simple but good. Same with Nidhogg 2.

I found Cuphead to be stupidly hard with my 50-something reflexes, at least beyond the first couple of levels, so it was no fun to play with my kids - I was much too frustrating as a co-player for them.
It's old now, but Rayman Legends is the most multiplayer fun that I've had on playstation - works really well as a casual drop-in for a second or third player.

Best answer: My partner and I have been playing unravel 2 - it’s fun, charmingly animated, and very much makes you feel like a team. Excited to try some of the other ones recommended here!

Brothers is two-player and more of a narrative adventure but I thought it was great while it lasted.
Katamari Damacy can be played two-player, though you're rolling a single ball. We still had a great time.
Minecraft Dungeons is a light action RPG and good straightforward fun for all ages.
I haven't played the Trine games but they're supposed to be excellent. More action/puzzle focused though.
Similarly I've been meaning to play Nom Nom Galaxy but haven't had the chance — looks like a fun and interesting base builder/harvesting type game.
Terraria is a great game a la Minecraft and Don't Starve but I would be worried about playing it without a mouse. Maybe someone here can speak to that experience.
