Kid-friendly Green Screen Play

Can you recommend a simple chroma key hardware/software setup in order to drop in video backgrounds live (for some five to seven year olds) to play around with? Based on what's on hand, I'm thinking a camera (Android phone, no wired video-out capacity) pointed at the kids and the backdrop while they face a TV (Roku or Chromecast/GoogleTV or connected) to see themselves while being live-edited by a off-screen grownup on a laptop (Windows or macOS). What might be the fewest hurdles to get there?

I think a relatively straightforward way to do this is to use Zoom.

Snap Camera can do this and much more.

If you like open source software and also configuring things, you could try OBS with the default chroma key (green screen) or virtual background plugin.

For connecting your phone to your computer as a webcam, you can use something like Iruin webcam and feed it through OBS or Snap Camera.
