What quieter NYC restaurants have survived covid?
One person is coming from Brooklyn and the other ( who I haven't met irl) is in NJ according to his fb profile. Idk if he'll be coming in by car or NJ transit . I'd like seating and table service; budgetwise midpriced.

Hearth in the East Village might work. Of course it's the holiday season and even in these diminished days everything's a bit louder than usual.

Response by poster: In the before times I went to Salaam in GV with a group and remember that the noise level wasn't too bad; googling says it's still there
