Term for a style of proverb/expression

There's a style of proverb or expression which has two clauses, one of which is a play on words (but not a reversal) of the other. Is there a name for this kind of construction?

Marx in Capital has a famous one ('timid and holding back, like one who is bringing his own hide to market and has nothing to expect but — a hiding.')

Best answer: Maybe the Antanaclasis which is a subset of the Polyptoton ?

If I'm understanding this correctly, then you might enjoy some classic comedic use of this, thanks to the Sphinx from Mystery Men.
