Brits making American pies

A friend and I have an interest in watching the episode of Great British Bake Off where they make American-style pies. How do we find it on Netflix?
From searching it seems that we are looking for GBBO season 5, episode 5 but we are confused as to which season and episode of the Netflix Great British Baking Show this would be. We have watched several delightful pastry week episodes but none of them had American pies. Any guidance appreciated!

Best answer: It's one of the older seasons, so it's in "The Great British Baking Show: The Beginnings." Specifically, Season 1, Episode 5: Pies. And yes, seeing them attempt American-style pies is so worth watching.

I posted a description of the correspondences between seasons at Movies & TV StackExchange some years ago; this question reminded me to update it. (I would have posted it here to drive traffic, but I can't do tables on this site.)
As noted above, you're looking for Episode 5 of "Beginnings". The pie challenge is the "Showstopper", the third and final project of the episode.

There is one in Season 3 for sure but at no point did they define what they meant by "American" pies, which left this Canadian viewer very confused, as my first thought was the saying, "As American as apple pie", but that's wasn't something anyone made. It appears to mean custardy sorts of pies. Most of them were not particularly appetizing.

At the beginning of the challenge they said "an American pie without a top crust" and I was very confused. I mean, I guess some of them don't have top crusts, but that's hardly the defining feature.
