Size matters (smaller is better)

Is it possible to purchase a small 7-day pill counter, with two sots per day? When look for one, even if my search contains the term "small", I get pill counters that advertise how LARGE they are, with pictures showing a dozen large pills stored per slot. I need something that will hold two small pills for the morning, and two small pills for the evening. Colorful is good. Simple mechanics are good. Does it exist?

I understand that larger pill holders are better for people who are elderly, who take a large number of medications, or who have arthritis or other movement disorders. But even so, I would think someone would make something in a different size. I haven't been able to find it, though.

Yes you can. This one is similar to the one I have at home.

You didn’t say where you are but if you have access to Amazon Canada, I found this .

If you add “am pm” or literally “2 a day” to your search you might have better luck.

I also have one similar to the one Roger Pittman linked to, but it cost a lot less. Very much like this one.

If you know anyone who has contact lenses and they use the saline cleaner, most packages come with a new cleaner case. And that means there are plenty of spares around. Heck, memail me and I will send you some.

Response by poster: Thank you all for these suggestions, but all of the linked pill cases are the same large size I have been seeing. Some of them even say, "Large Capacity" with pictures showing the pill cases holding half a dozen large vitamins.

Mightshould, your suggestion of saline solution packages sounds intriguing, but I'm not familiar with them. What do they look like?

If you haven't already, I would try using "travel" instead of "small" in your online search.

This one seems to be the smallest I found that MAY have enough compartments if the pills are pretty small.

I have had the same problem and ended up getting 2 small seven-days in two different colors - one is my "morning box" and one is my "evening box." But this one might be all right - you can remove the "lock bar."

I think the difficulty is making a box where the lids to each compartment are big enough for your fingers to open.

If you’re ok just with subdividing compartments, but not having separate lids, here is an option I just found. It’s dividers meant to go into an Altoids box!

Referring back to the one I linked to, I put one small pill in each a.m. compartment, and one small pill in each p.m. compartment. I have never felt that the compartments are too large.

when i had many fewer pills, i just had two small ones (not connected for am/pm). i used a label maker to label them as i could only find clear, not colored. got 'em at walgreens. i assume you care about the size to carry them around?

I just got this one from Port and Polish--it has 7 lidded compartments but they are not subdivided, however it would be easy to just put both in one slot. I put two weeks' worth of vitamins in it (1 small and 2 large capsules once a day) and it just fits.
It is slim and attractive and comes in various pleasant colors--you wouldn't necessarily think it was a pill box unless you opened it. It's about the same size as a smartphone, ish. And it has a mirror inside, if that's useful to you at all.

I recommend it, although in your case you might be able to use the Altoids one instead. I'm thinking of getting one myself, now I've seen it!
