Ethically sourced Beads?

I'm looking for wholesale gemstone beads that state where they are sources their beads from and put some effort into ethical mining practices. Does this exist?

After spending some hours of time, what I have largely discovered is that this does not seem to be much of a thing. But have I missed options? I'd like to buy gemstone beads from Europe if that is possible- closest possibility so far being Baltic amber. If there are any wholesalers that list the country of origin of beads that would help? I'm looking mostly for beads like quartz, jasper, garnet, agate, moonstone---- not the super expensive ones.

If you have researched this and learned anything, please share!

Best answer: Rio Grande's American Mined collection is pretty ethical - they have beads for at least both kinds of turquoise and the fire opal it looks like, though you'd need to get an account with them.

Kernowcraft seems to have a good ethical policy and a good selection of beads.
