What is the best book that provides an overview of the nineties?

I recently read and loved The Fifties by David Halberstam. I especially enjoyed the book's almost seamless blend of social, cultural, economic, military, and political history.

I'm looking for similar books that cover a single decade of the 20th century. I want to read a book on the nineties next. But I'm open to other decades if there's a standout book.

Please give me your recommendations. Thanks!
