Best tool for party RSVP?

I'm looking for a tool that will let me send my own personal email to guests, then collect RSVPS. I have a few criteria I want to meet, and somehow I can't seem to find a tool that meets all of them:

-I want to sent the email myself (I am pretty sure), not via a service like paperless post or evite. The reason is - the initial email invite is a little more information-dense than any of these services seem to allow. (Unless there is a service like this that makes is east to include my own info in a formatted email that is more than a few lines)

- I want it to be pretty easy for people to RSVP.

- I want something that tracks replies for me.

- I'd like guests to be able to see who else is coming, and, ideally, be able to leave public messages (like in evite)

This is for an online birthday party for my father's 80th birthday. We are inviting a little over 100 people, so I'd rather not track replies manually.

It's been a few years, but I once set up something like this using a simple Wordpress site. You can do a poll of sorts for the tracking of guests. Then make a post and leave comments open so folks can use that for messages.

With evite, you can set up the event, invite no one and then get a sharable link from the event page. Use that in your self - crafted email and people will be sent to the evite site to RSVP.

What you won't get is a list of people who haven't replied yet, though, as evite won't know who you invited.

I am not sure if that gives you the function you need, but thought I would mention it in case you weren't familiar with that evite feature.
