Replacement for Papa and Barkley Hemp Infused Balm

In January, I bought Mrs. W Papa and Barkley's Hemp Infused Balm on a whim after reading a recommendation from Janet Varney on Cool Tools. She really liked it. When trying to reorder it a month ago, it seems to have been repackaged as CBD Relief Balm. But the ingredients are not the same.

The ingredients of the balm that Mrs. W likes are Hemp, Cocnut Oil, Beeswax, Essential Oil Blend (Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Peppermint, Lavender), Vitamin E Oil, Natural Turpenes.

The replacement balm (that doesn't work, and in particular, doesn't have the warming sensation) has ingredients: Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Cannabis Sativa L. (Hemp), Essential Oil Blend (same as above), Vitamin E Oil.

Can anyone recommend a comparable product to the original one she likes that we can order by mail? I know nothing about this topic but I thought Metafilter would have answers!

Thanks in advance.

Did you write the manufacturer and say, hey' what's up, this was good now it isn't, why the change, and do you have a product that might be equivalent? Always worth a shot.

Response by poster: We did contact Papa and Barkley and are awaiting a response, but I wanted some backup options in case the original product is no longer available.

Try Charlotte's Web -- I haven't used the balm but have used and liked other products. This balm has peppermint and menthol which should give that missing warming sensation.

Mefi's own, fraying, and heather farm hemp and produce CBD tinctures via their company Milk Barn Farm. Maybe they can help?

Did you ever hear back from Papa and Barkley? I'm curious if there were legal changes that forced them to change their formula or if they were unaware some might prefer the old one.
