Mystery Printer Part

We bought a Canon mfb34cdw laser printer about a year ago and it came with a mystery part. We put it up against the printer every which way, looked through the manual and could not figure out what it's for.

The printer works fine without it. It's just been sitting next to the printer for over a year hoping inspiration would strike. Didn't happen, so here we are.

Stobor has it. See the bottom of page 112/top of page 113 in the user manual for the instructions for the "legal dust cover."
