A paid expensify account can be shared with members of an "organization."

we use "Splitwise" and it has worked fine for us for the past 4 years or so.

The kid's dad and I use Google Sheets for this, with a fairly simple if/then statement (if person A paid the expense then person B owes X%) and a running total.

Best answer: I have recommended to everyone on here to use Toshl, which syncs to the cloud, with web and mobile interfaces.

+1 for Splitwise, it works very well.

Have used splitwise with housemate for 6 years now, it's simple and does the job. She has a paid account only because we liked it enough to support it, we did not need the extra features.

Response by poster: Ha, Splitwise is an app for a problem I didn't consider.

Anyways this is just for myself and my spouse, the budget being tracked is our shared bank account where essentially all income goes and all expenses are paid out so we aren't needing the split feature. We'd just like to enter receipts for purchases with some tagging. Toshl looks like it'll work though will require sharing an account.

Wouldn't mind other suggestions though especially a free app that supports taking pictures of receipts (Toshl has this but requires payment for it).
