What's the best thrift store (for men) in New York?

Well... I used to work for the Buffalo Exchange (a chain 'recycled fashion' store) and I understand they just opened a store in NYC.. They try to carry a certain percentage of men's clothes... I think the manager is a male so that might improve the chances of threads for dudes.

Angel street thrift
Housingworks

Both are on west 17th between 6th and 7th ave. I don't know if they are the "best" but they have good stuff and a much higher ratio of mens to womens clothes then most thrift shops. Good furniture too.

There are also Housingworks stores at Hudson and 10th and I think somewhere on 23rd. In the East 80's around 2nd there are a bunch that have to do with the various private hospitals and schools up there. Those are good if your taste is kind of Upper East Side-y, preppy with an emphasis on blazers and suits and stuff. They're not good for anything "funky," but you can get an amazing deal on a suit if a guy in your size has just kicked the bucket.

One of the best is Tokyo 7. You won't have to wade through a lot of crap there. It's mostly high end designer stuff at great prices.
