Seeking Android calendar app with specific layout

Can you help me find a replacement calendar app for Android that has a "continuous" view/layout?

I can't stand the horrible UI of the stock Android calendar, and I'm looking for an alternative.

I'm not sure of the proper name for the thing I'm seeking, but imagine an infinite vertical conveyor belt of weeks, where month/year transitions are all but ignored except for shading them differently (or possibly vertical text along the side.) You swipe up and down to free-wheel the conveyor belt up and down, and pinch to zoom in and out. I really don't care about any other type of views, except possibly for tapping on a day to see the events of that day.

I found this website that demonstrates the concept but it's just a web site and it uses local storage to store items so it can't sync. I want an app that does that, but with more robust mobile touch controls.

I've tried looking in the Google Play store but everything I've seen uses the same old garbage UI that Google uses.

Also, I don't really know Android that well - can a third party calendar app get access to the main Android calendar so that they stay in sync, and so that all the other Google nonsense knows about events in the third-party app? Or is this going to be software integration hell where nothing works and everything is its own silo?

It's certainly possible for an app (or a web service) to read and modify your Google calendar. There are a few different APIs. Sadly, I don't know of an app that has the UI you're looking for. All I can say is that it doesn't have to be written specifically for Google calendar. Any app or website that supports remote iCal calendars should work at least "ok" for most calendaring functionality.

Touch Calendar does something similar for month view; I don't use it any more but check out the free version to see if it works in the week view. It is supposed to sync with Google Calendar. It worked beautifully on my old phone but never settled in to sync reliably on my current one, which is why I eventually uninstalled it. Otherwise I definitely preferred it to Google Calendar.

The calendar app I use, Business Calendar 2, has a "month view" that looks exactly like the website you link to. It also has a continuous scroll "week view", but that one scrolls horizontally. The pro version is €5. Integration with the central android calendar is seamless (this is true for every third party calendar app I've seen).

I use Calengoo and its month view works like the website you showed: infinite scroll of weeks, zoom in and out. Here is an image.

Calengoo is paid but definitely worth it in my opinion. You can customize everything, and the developer is responsive if you have an issue or request.

I've used Business Calendar Pro for years, from the same company as the one bleston hamilton station linked. It has the view you're looking for and is very customizable.

aCalendar allows you to set the week view as default and it functions quite similar to what you're looking for (unless I'm missing something). Integrates well with Google Calendar as well.
