Please help with this Google Sheets chart question

I am not a person who makes charts, yet I have made a chart. Now, how do I get my data to show up slightly differently?

Please excuse the rudimentary nature of this question -- I know that I know nothing about charts so I don't even know the terminology, but here goes: I made a chart. The data along each axis is what I want it to be. My data is showing up in the chart as a solid line that rises and falls over time, which is what I want. But what it's missing is a visible dot at each data point.

It looks like this, only up and down: -------------
And I want it to look like this ---X----X---X-------X

I am drawing from two column of information. Column A is a date. Column B is the data point.

Can you talk me through making this change in Google Sheets?

Best answer: In the Chart Editor thing that comes up when you select the chart, go:

- Customize tab
- Series
- change Point Size to 7px or something
- change Point Shape to whatever you want

Best answer: When you first make the chart, it brings up a panel on the right called "Chart Editor." If you've closed this, double click on the chart to get it back.

Click on the "customize" tab.
Scroll down to the "Series" menu.
Change the "Point size" dropdown to some value other than "none."
