I'd like to send some food to a friend in Waterbury, Vermont. Are there any local restaurants or markets that might deliver? Thanks!

As you've probably realized if you've checked Yelp, there's not much. Depending what you are looking for (groceries vs take out) your best bet might be La Strada bakery which has baked goods, soups and a few other things. If you call them and tell them what you're looking for, they could probably either help or suggest someone who could.

Village Market in Waterbury offers online order / curbside pickup. If you call them (802-244-1804) they might know someone who could deliver.

The food at Maxi's is delicious. Give them a call and ask if they'd deliver? (I think you may do better with family places like this, rather than chains.)

Outside of Burlington -- which is close to Vermont as the joke goes -- it is doubtful places have delivery service. However, people are nice and if you have a good reason, and it isn't too far, one of the places mentioned above may do a solid simply to help one of their neighbors.

If I lived closer I would volunteer to do a delivery for you... and then I'd go to Warren and visit Lawson's Finest.

Village Market is your best bet here.

Best answer: Thanks, everyone. Village Market wasn't able to accomodate, so I went with Jimmz Pizza, which seems to be one of the few (perhaps only?) places in Waterbury that delivers.
