Extended Stay near LAX?

I need to find an extended stay option near LAX airport for three months for some training I'll be doing. I'm looking for a cost-effective yet not bare-bones option. I will only need to stay there during the week M-F, but if it makes sense to rent for the entire week I would do that to preserve continuity of rental. Is it possible to get something around $50/night if I commit to the three months? Ideally, no roommates.

Best answer: Looks like there's an Extended Stay America near LAX (a few actually). I've stayed in one of those for a month before and it worked out quite nicely. Might be worth calling whichever one is closer to where your training will be to see what they can do for you if you book a 3 month stay.

Best answer: I am familiar with the area and if you are willing to try airbnb, I suspect you could arrange for a room with a separate entry or possibly an entire small place for this amount given willingness to book that long. I'm not positive, of course, but it's worth considering. (The rates will definitely be higher than you want for an entire place rental, but I have had luck negotiating cheaper deals with longer stays in that area before.) The town you're looking at is El Segundo.

Best answer: If you want a kitchen and no roommates you're basically talking about subletting a studio for $50/day = $1500/month. This is probably just about doable in that part of the world (depending on your definition of "near"). East of LAX is cheaper than south of LAX. North of LAX is probably out of the question at that budget. Try Inglewood, Hawthorne, and El Segundo. Maybe Westchester.

Airbnb is the obvious place to look. If you search for over a month (on the website, not the phone app) the UI changes to show monthly rates (and significantly fewer options, but they do exist). I took a quick look and "Entire place" (i.e. private entrance, kitchen, bathroom) is hard to do for under $2000/month, but you might get lucky. Failing that, an actual old-fashioned sublet via Craigslist is always an option.

Actual extended stay hotels near LAX are not $50/night. Extended Stay offers 31% off if you book for a month, but even then you're going to be around $100/night.
