Hustling movie type of feeling

What type of movie would be the shared category of the following movies: Boiler Room, Wolf of Wall Street, 54. And what are some more?

Basically it’s movies where young or idealistic people get pulled in to a new scene that seems too good to be true , IS, and then we see the fallout. Often but not always based on true stories. (a really shitty but accurate example from this genre is We Are Your Friends). The Social Network almost counts but has too many other angles.

The Big Short has snippets of idealistic people being sucked into the 2008'ish real estate bubble.

The Grifters might work.

Before the Wolf there was just Wall Street with Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen. Maybe Cynical Mentor or Fatal Flaw may apply.

TV Tropes has Better Living Through Evil which describes this phenomenon (sort of). Devil's Advocate was the film I thought of that led me there.

Looks like there've been several versions of Billionaire Boys Club; believe it was based on a true story

(and of course the soundtrack to this thread is Pet Shop Boys' Opportunities)

Goodfellas. There's probably quite a few mob movies that qualify, but that one came to mind.
