Recovering a password from the Instagram App

I lost a bunch of passwords, and now I need to try to recover my Instagram account password. I am logged into the IG app on my iPhone. Can I get the password out of the IG app?

I created this Instagram account tied to a seldom-used Hotmail account. I had the passwords for both the IG account and the Hotmail account written on a low-tech piece of paper for storage. I've lost that piece of paper. Without access to the Hotmail account the IG account is tied to, I can't do the normal password reset process.

However, I'm logged into the account on the IG account on my iPhone. (Not on Safari - just on the IG app.) Can I get the IG app to display my password somehow?

(I also tried doing password recovery on the Hotmail account, but apparently I don't have enough information.)

Simply change your password in the app.

edit: oh my bad. I see now you need the current password.

Best answer: Resolved: I was able to simply change my email address in the app, now I can reset it that way.
