Photoshop actions/scripts

Photoshop actions/scripts: I have a text file containing 100's of lines of text. Each line of text needs to be copied & pasted into a psd file, which will then be saved and exported as a gif. So far, I haven't been able to find a tutorial on how to create an action or script to automate this process. I've also tried a windows automation program, Autohotkey, without any luck. Ideas?

Does it have to be Photoshop? Fireworks has a "Data-Driven Graphics Wizard" command that'll do this with XML.

What sort of final image are you trying to produce? If it's simply text over a plain background - website headers, for example - this would be incredibly easy to do in PHP and ImageMagick.

Best answer: This might help - a tutorial for turning text files into things such as yearbook listings or business cards.

I've always used FLY whenever I needed to turn text into a gif...
