Turn off non-Street View photos in Google Maps?

Sometimes when I drag the little man onto the map, I get taken to some user-uploaded photo of the inside of a store or a photo somebody took of a park or something. Is there any way to turn this off and only see Street View?

The way that I do this is by zooming in so that I can choose what the Street View function displays. You can also click once on the yellow man/woman, "turn off images" and then click on the location you want streetview for. That will bring up a static image from Streetview. Click on the image and you're taken to Streetview.

The photos and photospheres are kind of baked into Maps now.
