Is it safe to eat eggs again?

After the massive May egg recall, is it safe to eat eggs again?
I live in PA, where we just took the brunt of the big recall of many different brands of eggs because of salmonella outbreaks. I haven't been able to find any news about it since mid-May, and I'm wondering if there's a way to know if eggs are safe now, as there was for the romaine lettuce recall. I love and miss eating eggs! My supermarket stocked most of the recalled brands, but I'd like to know if it's okay to order them at a restaurant, as well.

I live in PA and at no point did I stop eating eggs. As far as I know the recall was linked to a specific farm, so as long as you weren't eating that batch of those brands, you should be fine.

Yes, any of the affected eggs should be long gone from store shelves by now (just on the basis of sell-by date alone, even if the store didn't know about or pay attention to the recall), but if you want to be extra cautious, you can check the plant and dates against those listed in the FDA notice linked by gennessee above or the update here.
(It is not the case that no one got sick, though. Per the FDA update, 35 cases had been identified as of May 10, 11 of which required hospitalization.)

I live in PA, didn't even know of the recall, eat eggs every day, and have not gotten sick. I eat eggs from convenience stores, eggs from carts that make sandwiches, eggs from organic local home delivery and eggs from grocery stores. Anecdata of one, but I would say the odds are with you eating eggs.
