I have leftover margarine. What should I do with it?

Apart from "use it instead of butter," I mean. Recipes, crafts and incantations all welcome.

It supposedly works really well to get adhesive residue off of things!

Margarine is perfect for cookies; the shortening texture keeps them from being dense, but you still get some of the flavor of butter. Extra batches of toll house or sugar cookies will keep fine in the freezer.

while I would much prefer to use butter in all cases, I have made many batches of matzoh crack using margarine when I was feeding folks who kept kosher at a non-dairy meal.

Great for the outside of grilled cheese sandwiches. :)

i mean, it doesn't go bad, so presumably you can keep it until such time as you require its services again, like a daemon you've successfully bound

Use it as an oil substitute for anything where margarine flavor won't, in your opinion, ruin it.

my grandma was poor so her chocolate cake recipe actually called for margarine and it was freaking amazing. I will send it to you if you want. but it was European style, not American.

Sweetapolita's cinnamon bun recipe uses a fair whack of margarine in all 3 components.

Margarine has a higher smoke point than butter, you can use it for sauteing vegetables, it also has less moisture so it does tend to work better for nice crisp grilled sandwiches.
