Help me remember a really groovy disco (maybe) song.

I am looking for a song that (maybe) had Donna Summer on vocals. It had a really twitchy guitar intro and solo and was more on the psycadelic side of Disco. Sparse detail below the fold.

This was on a mix cd made by one of my friends who has a penchant for b-sides, demos, and 'rare' tracks. I asked him, and he doesn't remember the song.

The singer sounds like Donna Summer, but I don't know if it was her. I've gone through a huge chunk of her collection on spotify, but I don't think it's there.

Here are all of the lyrics that I remember:

[lyrics I don't remember]... strain to hear
the world [is/seems] so smoky now
but I see you so clear

one [kiss/hit] is all it takes
one [kiss/hit] is all it takes
one [kiss/hit] is all it takes

Any ideas?

Best answer: Dinosaur, "Kiss Me Again"? (This is where I found the suggestion: "Durante los primeros instantes "Kiss Me Again" se presenta como una pieza estándar de discofunk. Su línea de bajo no dista demasiado de la de cualquier producción de la época. La estructura va tomando forma pista a pista: entran el bajo y la percusión. También las partes vocales. "This world is so smoky now but i see you so clear." )

Best answer: Definitely Dinosaur, I love that song. It’s David Byrne on guitar I think. Dinosaur was a project of the great Arthur Russell.

Best answer: Incidentally, the b-side is a really raw and awesome alternate take, so definitely look for that too. It may be the one your friend sent you!

Response by poster: Wow, thanks everyone for tracking this down. It was definitely the b-side.
