Help me identify this Don Knotts sketch!

My dad is trying to track down a half-remembered Don Knotts sketch, in which a barbershop trio never quite get started on their song for numerous physical comedy reasons, finishing with one guy swallowing the pitch pipe. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

There was a barbershop quartet in Mayberry. But I'm not sure Knotts is one of the members.

This sounds familiar, could it have been in either of The Apple Dumpling Gang movies?

Response by poster: I checked, and he's pretty sure it was (a) in black and white, and (b) featured in some sort of best-of compilation in the 70s or early 80s. Proving a bit tough to track down!
