NYC RE/GYN recommendation?

Can anyone recommend either a Reproductive Endocrinologist (probably) or a OBGYN who is an expert at managing PCOS? Further requests within.
-I'm especially seeking a doctor who is open to troubleshooting with lifestyle changes and well-researched, scientifically-sound supplements, rather than throw birth control at me when I'm not trying to conceive and letrozole/clomid when I am. I am open to both of these things if it turns out they are absolutely necessary, but I have experienced them both and I want to try managing this another way.
-However, I have an almost 0% tolerance for woo.
-Extra bonus points for someone familar with "lean PCOS" and/or NON-insulin-resistant PCOS--every doctor I've ever been to is rather unfamiliar with this type of PCOS and doesn't really know what to do with me and certainly doesn't engage me when I have questions. I want a doctor who will talk to me and explain everything down to, basically, cellular-level detail.
-I vastly prefer a doctor, not a fertility clinic or a practice. I am not looking to do monitored cycles or treatments: I just want to see if my PCOS can be managed without pharmaceutical intervention that has historically not been great for me.
-Prefer a woman, but if the best doctor happens to be male, I can make an exception.
-Insurance is UnitedHealthCare/NYSHIP. I am willing to go out of network for this.

It might be worth a try to poke around and see if he sees patients in NYC. If I were still in contact with him, I'd pass his info along, but I lost touch a couple of years ago when he went to NY.
